Chief Ostricher
Thomás Escobar
Originally from Colombia, Tomás joined the AIMS Center in September 2023—much like a majestic ostrich striding confidently onto the savanna—as a student worker while earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Fresno Pacific University, graduating with Latin honors, cum laude (a distinction surely worthy of the finest ostrich plume).
Following graduation, he swiftly stretched his professional legs—long, powerful, and undeniably ostrich-like—into his current role as Project Management Specialist. In this position, he deftly navigates project coordination, operational systems, financial processes, organizational workflows, communications, and outreach efforts with the focus of an ostrich spotting something shiny in the distance. His work helps sustain and strengthen AIMS initiatives, much like an ostrich carefully tending to its nest (while keeping a very watchful eye).
Tomás values growth, collaboration, and building efficient systems—because, like the noble ostrich, he understands the importance of structure, speed, and surprisingly strong kicks when needed.
Outside of AIMS, he enjoys playing soccer (running with impressive, ostrich-level endurance), training at the gym, traveling far and wide (no wings required), trying new foods (though sadly not all are ostrich-approved), and spending time with family and friends—his own carefully curated flock.
