Accommodation Requests & Questions

  • AIMS is wheelchair accessible. The building has an elevator that serves all floors. The Maker Studio is equipped with a variety of tables for mobility access: 29” high and 36” wide leg clearance, 27” high and  27“ wide leg clearance, and 2 motorized adjustable desks (60” x 22“- 40“ leg clearance).

    The Maker Studio entrance features an automatic, motion-activated door.

    The RTCC has a door clearance of [TBD]. 

  • We have a limited number of disability companion seats and wheelchair locations with preferred viewing sightlines. These seats and areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis unless reserved in advance, although our space is flexible if given enough notice. The Maker Studio is equipped with a variety of tables for mobility access: 29” high and 36” wide leg clearance, 27” high and  27“ wide leg clearance, and 2 motorized adjustable desks (60” x 22“- 40“ leg clearance).

  • Service Dogs are always allowed on campus grounds and in campus buildings. 

  • The Maker Studio can be an active and noisy space, with many visitors working on different projects at the same time. The Maker Studio can also vary in temperature, so it is advised that visitors dress in layers or bring a sweater. Additionally, the Maker Studio can be very bright from natural sunlight, and we can lower the shades to soften the glare by request. 

  • Some adaptive tools are available upon request such as easy-grip crayons, pencil grippers, left-handed scissors, sensory toys, and more.

  • The Maker Studio has a private restroom with seat covers, changing table, bag hook, and 90” x 84” clearance inside. 

    The RTCC has two private restrooms.
